American Brewery Registration

Thank you to all of the brewers sending casks to the 2010 Great British Beer Festival. Please complete the Brewery Registration form below as soon as possible as we are compiling program information under a tight printing deadline. By now, you should have received your cooperage for the festival. If you have not made arrangements or received cooperage, please contact me via email at mike@softspile.com.

If you would like to showcase any additional products, we are also happy to receive bottle conditioned beers or filtered BUT unpasteurized beers. Please make a note of the additional beer on the registration form. Donations of Point of sale items e.g. coasters, glasses and T-shirts are also welcome and very much appreciated.

Paperwork Requirements

There are specific paperwork requirements for the import of product into the U.K. We require an invoice indicating the quantity and volume of each container (cask or case) in liters and the ABV %. A sale amount is also required. We ask that you please indicate a nominal charge of $20 per firkin, or $5 per case. Also, please note “Paid In Full” on the invoice. For reference, a firkin contains 40.9 liters, and a 24 pack case of 12oz. bottles contains 8.5 liters.

For those that prefer, we will create an invoice on your behalf. Just note your preference on your Brewery Registration.

Transportation Logistics

New England Breweries - The deadline for beer consolidation is Friday, June 25th. There are two breweries that are acting as consolidation points: Smuttynose Brewery, 225 Heritage Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801, contact (603) 436-4026 for receiving hours, and Berkshire Brewing Company, 12 Rail Road Street, South Deerfield, MA 01373, contact the brewery at (413) 665-6600 for hours of operation. And finally, if you are unable to transport your beer to one of the designated consolidation points, contact me as soon as possible. I will make every effort to arrange transport on your behalf. Please indicate your preferred option on your Brewery Registration.

Mid-Atlantic Breweries - Clipper City in Baltimore is the consolidation point for DE/MD/PA/VA breweries. Please call me at (978) 204-1684 for further details.

CA Breweries - The deadline for beer consolidation is Friday, June 4th. Stone Brewing in Escondido, CA is the consolidation point. Stone has generously agreed to forward firkins to New England if they are delivered to the brewery by the 4th. Please Call me at (978) 204-1684 for further details.

CO Breweries - The deadline for beer consolidation is Friday, June 4th. Left Hand Brewing in Longmont, CO is the consolidation point. Left Hand has generously agreed to forward firkins to New England if they are delivered to the brewery by the 4th. Ken Fisher is helping with coordination in your area. OR Breweries - The deadline for beer consolidation is Friday, June 4th. Rogue Brewery in Newport, OR is the consolidation point. Rogue has generously agreed to forward firkins to New England if they are delivered to the brewery by the 4th. Ken Fisher is helping with coordination in your area.
